It is a really lovely dress with the ivory underlay and the unique lace over top. The girl I bought it from said she had the bottom shortened slightly. My other dress (also from BHLDN) was a size 2 and fit perfectly besides the length and this is a size 4 so I would say it runs a little small. There's also a strap inside the dress that buttons like a bra that makes the strapless top feel secure. I would say that the bust also runs on the smaller size and the dress has built in bust cups. I bought it for my own wedding and gained some weight (wedding stress eating!) so i didn't feel comfortable in it any longer and decided to wear another (less form fitting) dress. Since I have to give my measurements in this listing, the hips/thigh area was tight on the dress so it would probably be too tight for someone with 38" hips. It still fit but wasn't easy to move around in.
